About the role

As a Data Scientist at Optimetriks in Lagos, you will be responsible for delivering impactful data analytics solutions for our key clients. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to turn data into actionable insights, ensuring successful delivery and driving innovation in our analytics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver client-ready data visualizations using SQL, Power BI, and Python.
• Collaborate with clients to scope requirements and define data needs.
• Design dashboards, automate reporting, and enhance user experience.
• Present insights, train users, and continuously improve data solutions.
• Contribute to advanced data science projects based on your expertise.

You will be part of the Data Science team, working with Data Scientists, Developers, and Operations members to deliver the various projects.

About you

• To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience in data preparation, cleaning, and dashboard development.
  • Knowledge of automated reporting processes; familiarity with APIs is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present data solutions and train users, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including operations and client-facing roles.
• Bonus Skills:
• • Familiarity with machine learning or advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG or distribution sector.
